About prices in Vietnam


Today I am going to talk about Money in Vietnam.
Prices in Vietnam is reasonable for me　.
I mean the cost of living in Vietnam is actually cheap for Japanese.
We can live with just 10$ in one day in Vietnam.
I usually spend money less than 10$ in one day.

Example( This is my ordinal life in Vietnam)
Breakfast: Avocado smoothy 1$
A cup of coffee : 2$
Lunch: at Local restaurant 1$
A cup of tea:    2$
Dinner: at Local restaurant 2$

Total cost is 8$.

That is entirely cheaper than Japan.

Another example.
A bottle of water : 20¢
A beer : 1$
A meal at local restaurant : 2$
A cup of coffee at cafeteria :2$
The starting taxi fee　: 60¢

etc…
That’s why I love Vietnam.

Next i am going to mention about  Vietnamese people’s salary.
The average Vietnamese people’s salary is 300$~500$　in a month.
Even a person who are manager position in a company. 
The person’s salary is about 1000$ in a month.

The average Japanese people’s salary is more than 2500$ ~..
So I feel it is actually cheap compare with Japanese people’s salaries.

One of my vietnamese friend told me
" It is really really expensive for Vietnamese people to have a cup of coffee at Starbucks.”




I am seriously wondering why most of Vietnamese people have iPhone which is new model. I mean iPhone8 or iPhone X.

I guess  it is not easy for them to get iPhone from them salary.
Because the price of iPhone is more than1000$.
It means iPhone is expensive than them salary. It is about more than 3 times of them salary. But they have it.

Even for Japanese people, it is not easy to pay money for iPhone.
Hoever most of Vietnamese people have it. Especially young people.
When i chill at cafeteria,i can see that 90% of Vietnamese people have new iPhone.
Mmm, I am really curious about that.
One of my Vietnamese friend told me
“Having iPhone is actually important for Vietnamese people.
That can prove that I’m not poor like that . That’s why they have it.
They save money for iPhone.”

I am convinced about that a little bit.
If someone knows about that.
Please let me know exactly reason.
How most of Vietnamese people can get new model iPhone which is more about 3times expensive than them average salary.

BE CAREFUL when you walk on the street in Vietnam.

There is  motorbike culture in Vietnam. I mean most of vietnamese people drive motorbike. The traffic jam always happen. Because compared to other countries, the provision of infrastructure is not satisfactory. Because there is no subway. So when they commit to the company, they use car or bus,mostly motorbike. Vietnam is developing fast nowadays but it is  not enough yet. When you walk on the street in Vietnam, please be careful. There are so much motorbikes. Specifically commuting time is so dangerous to across street there. The time is between 7am and 9am. And between 5pm and 7pm. No one cares about somebody else there. So be careful and just concentrate when yo are on the road in Vietnam.

Today I invested to my body about 120$ in Vietnam.

Today I woke up around 7 am. Then I was off to cafeteria near my house.There are a few cafeterias within the range of 1km from my house.It is really convenience for me.I don’t want to stay my house except when I sleep at home at night because when I am in my room, I get sleepy definitely. These are street pics where are on my way when I get to cafeteria. 8:30 conversation with my business partner by call. I was working from 8 to 11am. I really like this cafeteria. They has a relaxed atmosphere, so I can concentrate to work and study. At 11 am, I felt hungry so I went to get a smoothie. This is my normal breakfast.Avocado smoothie 20000VDN(1$). This is really reasonable,right? After that, I worked out at the gym. Today I trained the back and arms💪 I can suggest you that you should go to the gym at lunch time if you can, because there are just few people. So it is easy to use machine. I am going to re-start my blog about Vietnam!

Hello. I am going to re-start my English blog from today. I am going to mention about Vietnamese information on this web site. For example, about food, restaurant, traffic, living cost, and Vietnamese people whatever. Because I had been living there for 8 months so I have a lot of information and experience about Vietnam. Now I am in Tokyo,Japan. I had started living Vietnam from May 2018, and I came back Japan in January 2019. I had helped my uncle’s business there.The business is Trading. More specifically, producing something(hat, shoes, T-shirt etc…)in Vietnam after that export them to Japan to sell. Why do we produce something in Vietnam? It is really simple. One of the big reason is Producing Cost is really reasonable in Vietnam. That’s why we produce in Vietnam. I did looking for factory, estimating cost, checking product, translating contraction document from English to Japanese whatever. I can speak English but cannot speak Vietnamese....
